M.Arch (Construction Project Management) – First Year
As part of the academic curriculum, the first-year students of M.Arch (Construction Project Management) from the Faculty of Architecture embarked on an enriching three-day educational case study visit to Bangalore. The visit was designed to provide hands-on exposure to real-time construction practices, project management processes, and industry workflows.
Day-wise Highlights
Day 1:
The students visited Canvas & Cove, a premium residential project developed by Assetz Property Group at Begur. This visit offered insights into modern residential planning, construction techniques, and quality standards maintained in high-end housing projects.
Day 2:
An in-depth study was conducted at an ongoing office building project located in Manyata Tech Park, Nagavara, managed by Colliers. Students observed the execution phase closely, gaining knowledge about site coordination, safety practices, and construction scheduling.
Day 3:
The final day included a visit to an office building project by Century Real Estate, followed by an interaction at the office of Space Theory Solutions. These sessions provided exposure to professional practices, project planning strategies, and consultancy roles in construction management.

Learning Outcomes
The visit offered valuable insights into:
- Project documentation and systematic record keeping
- Preparation and understanding of Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Real-time project workflows and execution strategies
- Coordination among stakeholders including clients, consultants, and contractors
- Importance of accurate data management throughout the project lifecycle
This experiential learning initiative significantly enhanced the students’ understanding of practical project management processes, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices.
