The Faculty of Architecture (FoA), Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, successfully hosted LOCUS 2026 – Edition 1, an Inter-Collegiate and Intra-Collegiate Architectural Design Competition that brought together talented students from institutions across Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states. The event provided an inspiring platform for aspiring architects to showcase their creativity, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches to architectural design.
A Platform for Creativity and Design Innovation
LOCUS 2026 encouraged students to think beyond conventional boundaries and develop meaningful design solutions. Recognising Excellence at the Valedictory Ceremony
The LOCUS 2026 Valedictory Ceremony marked a proud moment for the participants and winners. Shortlisted participants and winners from both the Inter-Collegiate and Intra-Collegiate competitions were honoured for their efforts, dedication, and creative achievements.
The awards were presented by the Honourable President, Er. A.C.S. Arun Kumar, who recognised the students’ commitment to architectural excellence, innovative thinking, and passion for design.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the prestigious LOCUS Rolling Trophy to the Inter-Collegiate Winner. The trophy celebrated the winning team’s outstanding performance and symbolised the spirit of creativity, excellence, and achievement that LOCUS represents.
