Under the guidance and support of our Honorable President Thiru A.C.S. Arunkumar, the Faculty of Architecture organized an Expert Talk on Green Building and Climate Innovation on 7th October 2025.
The session was coordinated by Dr. Parisudharajan and Ar. Sowmiya, with an insightful presentation by Ar. Faiza, Urban Planner. Students from 1st and 2nd year M.Arch (Interior Architecture), M.Arch (Landscape Architecture), and M.Arch (Construction and Project Management) actively participated.
The talk provided deep insights into sustainable climate policies, green market systems, and climate-resilient urban development. It explored practical approaches to integrating green growth and low-carbon strategies into urban planning and housing markets.
Participants gained valuable understanding of global sustainability tools such as EDGE for Green Buildings and APEX for Green Cities, which are driving forces in achieving eco-friendly urban environments. The session also shed light on policy frameworks, green finance mobilization, and collaborative opportunities between governments, private sectors, and financial institutions — paving the way for a resilient and sustainable future.
