First-year B.Arch. students of the Faculty of Architecture, Dr. M.G.R. University, successfully completed the “Brick Builders” workshop, creatively titled M&C Day. This engaging hands-on session was a vibrant display of innovation and technical skill, where students used erasers as miniature bricks to construct various types of brick bonds — Stretcher, Header, Flemish, Rat Trap, and English Bonds.

The activity encouraged teamwork, speed, and precision as students recreated real-world masonry patterns with a creative twist. Beyond construction accuracy, they added artistic finishing touches to their models, making the session both educational and enjoyable.

The workshop beautifully blended design thinking with practical learning, strengthening students’ understanding of brick bonding techniques in an interactive and memorable way.
