The Faculty of Architecture, Dr. M.G.R. Educational & Research Institute, proudly curated yet another transformative Travel Learn Studio, taking our M.Arch Interior Architecture and B.Arch students on an enriching journey to Mumbai. The trip was designed and guided by our esteemed faculty members, Ar. Rajalakshmi and Ar. Mookambika, to provide students with immersive learning experiences through industry interactions, design explorations, and hands-on exposure to contemporary architectural practices.
Part 1 – Visit to Edifice Consultants Pvt. Ltd.
The first leg of the journey introduced our students to Edifice Consultants Pvt. Ltd., an award-winning architectural firm celebrated for its unique collaborative design approach. Known for its dynamic team with global education, exposure, and experience, Edifice stands as a leader in the architectural landscape.
A special highlight of the visit was an interactive session with Ar. Sanjay Nayak, Executive Director of Edifice, who generously shared his time, insights, and experiences with our students and faculty. His valuable perspectives on design philosophy, practice, and industry trends left a lasting impact on the learners, inspiring them to approach design with creativity and collaboration.

Part 2 – Visit to FOLDS Design Studio
The second chapter of this journey was equally inspiring as our students had the privilege of visiting FOLDS Design Studio, where they were warmly welcomed by the distinguished Ar. Leela Krishnamoorthy.
He engaged the group in a deep dive into his exceptional projects, guiding them through a detailed case study walk that offered rare insights into parametric design and AI applications in architecture. To further enrich the experience, he arranged an exclusive factory visit, giving students an inside look at material processes and fabrication techniques.
This segment of the trip opened new dimensions of design thinking, where technology, creativity, and execution converge—leaving students inspired to explore futuristic design approaches.
