This Diwali, the Eco Club at the Faculty of Architecture, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, embraced the true spirit of the festival—spreading joy and kindness. In collaboration with the Magizhvi Welfare Trust, the club organized a heartwarming Diwali Food Drive as part of our Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) initiatives.

The drive provided breakfast and lunch to 1,000 individuals, bringing festive warmth to the community and addressing the pressing issue of hunger. This initiative reflected our belief that being architects of change goes beyond designing buildings—it’s about creating a better, more compassionate world.

By uniting efforts for a noble cause, the students and faculty demonstrated the importance of giving back to society. The Diwali Food Drive was not just an act of charity but a celebration of community spirit and shared humanity.

We are proud of the Eco Club for leading this initiative and spreading the light of Diwali where it’s needed most. Here’s to building a kinder, brighter future for everyone!
