The Faculty of Architecture proudly conducted the Practical Training Viva Voce Presentations for our Fourth-Year B.Arch students, marking an important milestone in their architectural education journey. The event provided a platform for students to present and reflect upon the invaluable professional experiences they gained during their practical training in architectural firms and related organizations.
During the presentations, students shared detailed insights into their exposure to real-world architectural projects, office operations, construction site activities, design development processes, client interactions and professional responsibilities. Their experiences highlighted the dynamic nature of architectural practice and demonstrated how classroom knowledge is applied in professional environments.

The Viva Voce sessions showcased the diverse learning opportunities encountered by students during their training period. From understanding project workflows and technical documentation to observing site execution and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, students gained firsthand exposure to the practical aspects of the profession. These experiences not only strengthened their technical competencies but also enhanced their problem-solving abilities, communication skills and professional confidence.
A key objective of practical training is to bridge the gap between academic education and industry practice. The presentations effectively illustrated how this transition enables students to develop a deeper understanding of architectural processes, professional ethics, workplace culture, and the challenges involved in translating design concepts into built realities.
The jury members actively engaged with the students through thought-provoking discussions and constructive feedback. Their expert observations encouraged students to critically analyze their learning experiences, identify areas for growth and better prepare themselves for future professional challenges. The interaction provided valuable guidance that will help students shape their careers as aspiring architects.
The event served as a testament to the importance of experiential learning in architectural education. It reinforced the belief that meaningful professional exposure plays a vital role in nurturing well-rounded architects who are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the esteemed jury panel for their time, encouragement and insightful guidance. We also congratulate our Fourth-Year B.Arch students for their dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm in presenting their journey from the classroom to the workplace.
As they continue their academic and professional journey, these experiences will serve as a strong foundation for their future contributions to the built environment.
Learning through practice. Growing through experience. Designing for the future.
