As part of their Vertical Studio Study on Branding and Visual Merchandising, our first-year and third-year students of B.Des (Interior Design), Faculty of Architecture, visited various retail stores at VR Mall, Chennai.

The visit offered a real-world perspective on how interior design and brand strategy intersect in retail spaces. Students closely observed how spatial planning, lighting, color palettes, materials, and display arrangements work together to create impactful visual stories that shape customer perception and experience.

This hands-on learning experience deepened their understanding of how thoughtful design decisions contribute to brand identity, customer engagement, and commercial success, bridging the gap between classroom concepts and professional practice.
