Our architectural journey reached its pinnacle on Day 3 as students visited the historic Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This day was a perfect blend of learning, exploration, and admiration for India’s rich architectural heritage.
The students were captivated by the intricate carvings and architectural grandeur of the temples, which stand as a testament to the artistic brilliance of the Chandela dynasty. Each temple told a story, with sculptures and designs reflecting themes of spirituality, nature, and human connection.
Walking through the complex, students gained a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and engineering marvels of ancient India. The experience offered invaluable insights into the techniques and principles that continue to inspire modern architecture.
The visit to Khajuraho wasn’t just a field trip—it was a day filled with awe, heritage, and inspiration, sparking creativity and a profound respect for the past.
Here’s to more such explorations that connect us with history and fuel our passion for architecture!
