Design met craftsmanship as our M.Arch Interior Architecture students participated in an immersive, hands-on woodworking session at Appar Woodware. This unique experience introduced students to the intricate art of woodworking, bridging the gap between design concepts and material execution.
Guided by industry experts, students explored various techniques, from cutting and shaping to finishing, learning how to transform raw wood into functional and aesthetic design elements. The session emphasized the importance of understanding materials and craftsmanship in interior architecture.
This hands-on activity allowed students to experiment, innovate, and bring their ideas to life, while gaining a deeper appreciation for the skill and precision involved in woodworking.
Such experiences are invaluable in developing practical expertise and fostering creativity, preparing our students to excel in their architectural and interior design journeys.
Here’s to blending design and craftsmanship to create inspiring spaces!
