As part of their academic journey, our first-year B.Arch students embarked on an insightful site visit to the iconic Shore Temple at Mahabalipuram. This UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its stunning Dravidian architecture and historical significance, served as the perfect learning ground for budding architects.
The students immersed themselves in the rich history and intricate craftsmanship of the temple, sketching its detailed architectural elements and capturing its grandeur through their drawings. This hands-on experience allowed them to better understand the principles of design, heritage preservation, and the cultural essence of architecture.
Such visits bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, nurturing creativity and fostering a deeper appreciation for architectural heritage. The Shore Temple visit was not just educational but also an inspiring step in their journey as future architects.
